Data Collected

The Lucid Dream Yoga application was developed using Expo Platform as a framework for development, testing, and deployment. Expo can additionally act as a data processor for end users of the application. For example, the application may make HTTPS requests to Expo servers when opened and in use in order to check for updates. These requests, however, do not contain device identifiers. In addition, the application does not use additional Expo services that handles end user information or content. Please reference Expo Privacy Explained for additional information.

Certain additional services of the application are networked and require the use of HTTPS. For example, online community and chat services as well as the digest services make HTTPS calls to our servers. Again, these requests do not contain device identifiers.

When you create an account on Lucid Dream Yoga to use the community and chat services, we collect additional data including your name (required), email (required), password (required), avatar (optional), and usage metrics related to the completion of exercises (required). Please note that sensitive journaling content and metrics around journaling activities stored on the device are not collected by us. Any content, however, transmitted using the online community service is handled by third party providers and stored on third party cloud servers. We will update this privacy policy with additional references as these features are released and become available.

Most features of the application are available to end users without registration. These include and are limited to journaling activities, dream exercises, digest, as well as visual metrics. No personally identifying or sensitive content is collected by us when you use these features. All entries, including analytics, are stored locally on the device and are not transmitted to external servers. Please be aware that the data stored on your device through the use of the Lucid Dream Yoga application is not encrypted. Additionally, please refer to your service's privacy policies if you utilize device cloud back up features.

Links contained in the digest service of the application provide direct access to other internet resources, including websites. Links to third-party sites do not constitute an endorsement by Lucid Dream Yoga, or their product and services. In addition, we do not control data collection or handling of third party sites. Please refer to the privacy policies listed on third party sites.

How we collect data

User metrics (limited to completed exercises) is collected automatically when you create an account and sign in to use the Lucid Dream Yoga online community services.

User name, email, password, and avatars are collected voluntarily when you create an account to use the Lucid Dream Yoga online community services

Very little additional data is collected during routine use of the application. All entries, including analytics are stored locally on the end users device. The data collected during online registration (name, email, password) is used to provide security and authentication when using online services. Avatars and limited user metrics are used to deliver satisfactory user experiences.

Retention of data

Journal entries, including calculated dream analytics are stored locally on the device. Personal information, including name, email, password, avatars and limited user activity submitted upon registration and continuing use of online community services will be stored on our databases indefinitely.

Changes

Please note that as new features become available and released, this privacy policy may need to be updated. For example, the online community chat services may utilize third party services for handling and storing content. We will update this policy with appropriate references as this information becomes available. Significant changes to the collection or use of data will be reflected on this privacy policy, and updates to the privacy policy announced on the app store.
